Banoka Bush Camp is situated in the Khwai Concession, one of the most diverse areas in northern Botswana, with a wealth of wildlife to be seen.It is scenically located along the tree line overlooking a lagoon with the whole camp raised off the ground to take in the view.

Banoka's open-sided main communal area and its expansive deck overlook the lagoon, with views on to the lily-covered waterway. To one side is a bar area, often used for pre-dinner drinks, while at the water’s edge is the main dining area. A very comfortable and tastefully decorated seating area provides a great place to relax in the afternoon.

Banoka Bush Camp is built along the tree line overlooking a lagoon; the whole camp is raised off the ground to take in the view. We spent 3 days at Sable Alley. They have very nice accommodations. Fantastic tents. Food is okay but the staffs are truly amazing. I guess their service should be the bar of reference for resorts...More

Canvas tent raised on a wooden deck, with a verandah area and an en-suite bathroom with a toilet, shower and hand basins. Amenities in each tent include soap, shower gel, shampoo, and insect repellent.

Spacious, timber-framed, canvas-walled structures, these are elevated on stilts, with wooden steps up to a veranda in front with a couple of camp chairs. Wooden doors lead inside to reveal twin beds, or a double, with a substantial wooden headboard that dominates the room. Behind is a shelving unit for clothes that incorporates an electronic safe. His and hers washbasins, a large mirror and an open-plan shower are also positioned here, while a door leads to a separate toilet. The chalets are simple but well built and very clean cut in design. The windows are mosquito mesh, which can be covered by canvas flaps in the cold winter but provide a cooling breeze in summer.

Family unit comprising two separate tents, approximately 1.5 m apart, sharing one deck area. The children's tent is en-suite and is smaller in size than the main tent.

It can effectively be created at Banoka Bushcamp, since two pairs of chalets sit opposite one another, and can be connected via a single set of steps. Although this arrangement would be too far apart for families with younger children, it would suit those with older teenagers.

The main area lies under a canvas canopy and includes a comfortable lounge, dining area and bar, with an open campfire area where guests can relax after dinner.

A light breakfast of cereal, toast, pancakes and muffins is offered before the early-morning game drive, together with tea, coffee, and fruit juice.

Brunch is served after the morning activity. A range of cooked options can be prepared on request, such as eggs of your choice with sides such as bacon, sausages and mushrooms. Afternoon tea, served just before the afternoon activity is delicious. Dinner is very tasty: a starter of cheese and vegetable spring rolls, with lamb stew, lebanese rice and roasted vegetables for a main course.

Once or twice a week the camp will prepare a traditional Setswana meal for dinner, which is usually accompanied by singing and dancing.

With a splendid diversity of habitat, from wetland to woodland, there are a multitude of species to encounter on our open vehicles, from hippos and crocodiles to elephants, zebras and the big cats.
